The Deodato Ankle Boot takes inspiration from the understated elegance of 1960s and 1970s Western footwear, reinterpreting traditional proportions through a contemporary, minimal approach.


Crafted from full-grain horse leather, this iteration is dyed entirely black, creating a deep, consistent finish that emphasizes the boot's sculptural form. The natural density and texture of the horsehide remain present beneath the surface, allowing the leather to gradually soften, crease, and develop a distinct character through wear.


Defined by its abbreviated shaft, elongated toe, and subtly curved panel construction, the Deodato maintains a sharp, uninterrupted silhouette. A Japanese YKK EXCELLA® zipper runs along the rear, offering a functional closure without disrupting the clean lines of the boot.


Underfoot, a full leather outsole is paired with a substantial stacked leather heel. Each sole is individually distressed and hand-scored, introducing subtle irregularities that contrast with the otherwise refined upper.


Balancing the rugged foundations of Western footwear with the restraint of traditional dress shoes, the Deodato is designed to feel equally considered and effortless. Its all-black construction offers a more understated interpretation of the original design, allowing the proportions, material, and craftsmanship to take precedence.

    The Deodato Ankle Boot fits true to size. Due to its elongated, narrow toe, we recommend sizing up if you're between sizes to allow for a more comfortable fit.

    For example, if you typically wear a US 9.5, we recommend selecting a US 10 (EU 43).

    With continued wear, the leather will gradually develop creasing and subtle variations in surface texture, creating a patina unique to each wearer. The hand-scored leather heels will naturally acquire additional character over time.


    While the black finish remains consistent across the collection, natural variations in the leather's grain ensure that each pair retains its own individual character.
