Sizing:
The Davis Loafer runs one full size large. We strongly recommend selecting one full size down from your usual EU or US size for the intended fit.
Last & Proportion:
Built on a generously proportioned rounded last, the Davis features a comfortable forefoot with a clean, understated profile. The loafer/derby hybrid construction provides the ease of a slip-on while maintaining the secure, structured feel of a traditional lace-up shoe.
Material & Break-In:
Crafted from Italian vegetable-tanned calfskin leather, the upper offers a structured feel when new and will gradually soften as it conforms to your foot. With wear, the leather develops a rich natural patina while maintaining the refined shape of the silhouette.
Entry & Function:
The hybrid loafer/derby design combines the convenience and appearance of a classic penny loafer with the adjustability of an open derby lacing system. This allows the shoe to accommodate a wider range of instep heights while providing a more secure fit than a traditional slip-on loafer.
Width:
Standard width with a slightly generous forefoot. The last provides ample room through the toe box without feeling bulky, making it comfortable for most foot shapes after a short break-in period.
Longevity of Fit:
As the vegetable-tanned calfskin breaks in, it will gradually mold to the contours of your foot, creating a personalized fit while preserving the structure and support of the shoe. The fit will become slightly more relaxed over time, reinforcing the recommendation to size down.
